Tourism in Port-Louis

Situated at the mouth of the Lorient harbor, on the left bank of the Blavet, Port-Louis is a historic town associated with Brittany’s Towns of Art and History.

Known for its citadel, home to the East India Company Museum and the Musée National de la Marine, Port-Louis has a rich and colorful past. Under Louis XIV, the first headquarters of the East India Company was established in the fortified city.
